DISNEY INSPIRED WEDDING DRESS

I’m sure most of us ladies while we were much younger had been mesmerized by some of Disney’s classic movies and themes, and have probably dreamt of having that happy ending Cinderella or Snow White moment in our lives. Now ever wondered what your wedding dress would look like if Disney met up with fashion designers to bring most of our dreams to reality?

Well you don’t have to wonder any longer as Disney gets into fashion and collaborates with wedding and bridesmaid gown designer Alfred Angelo to bring Elsa’s famous Snow Queen Dress in the Disney blockbuster “Frozen” from the big screen to reality. The designer of the dress was inspired by the melodious (and infectious) tune “Let It Go,” from the movie. He also noted that some of the dress’s elements draw on the moment when Anna’s sister was transformed and finally began to embrace her icy powers. “We wanted to translate Elsa’s inner beauty and individuality into a sophisticated gown that exudes this,” he said.

Like the animated character’s dress, the “Frozen” gown will be blue. Additionally, the dress will have a Watteau train, and a heavily beaded bodice with a sweetheart neckline made with layers of satin, tulle, glitter net and organza.”

Well the verdict is still out about whether brides will want to wear a Disney inspired dress on the day of their nuptials, and feel like a Disney princess, which is totally reasonable. So in this case what would you do? Stick with traditional wedding dresses or say “I do” in a pop of colour? Your thoughts?

The Elsa Wedding Dress will be available in January 2015.

  2. Frankly I don't think Nigerian brides would be interested in this. To much pressure to conform to the traditions of the normal types of weddings in our society...... NEXT

    1. That's true. Usually everyone thinks of a bridal gown as the traditional white or ivory. But I say do whatever you like! Our women already dye their hair in different shades from a rainbow so why not in a wedding dress? Anything goes!
