Sure you’re a full-fledged grown-up, but you can be a big
cry-baby when it comes to spending beaucoup bucks on your beauty products.
Normally, we are all for splurging in the beauty department
(after all, you deserves it), but if you are into the idea of saving where you
can, we are here to tell you: The baby aisle is your friend. Plus, if good old
fashioned baby oil is good enough for Beyonce, it’s sure as heck good enough
for the rest of us.
For genius celeb approved swaps you can make that will save
you a small fortune, these are our must have baby slash beauty product.
Baby Wipes to Remove Makeup:
Instead of splurging on specially-formulated
makeup-removing wipes, baby wipes work just as good. It doesn't matter if they
are name brand, in the dollar bin or plastered with designer labels. By nature,
the moist wipes are formulated for sensitive skin, are hypoallergenic and
infused with nourishing ingredients like aloe and vitamin E.
Baby Oil for Dry Skin Baby & Powder as Dry Shampoo:
If you're after that Beyoncé glow, or just after a surge of
moisture, look no further than the baby aisle. Swap out your moisturizer for
this super-cheap alternative that leaves a long-lasting moisture seal.
"Actually funny enough, I lather myself up with baby oil in the shower," Julianne Hough revealed to Us Weekly. Towel it off after your rinse, then let it sit as
you are getting ready. By the time you are out the door, your skin will feel
plump and hydrated for the rest of the day.
We're going to let
you in on a dirty little secret: Dry shampoo is basically baby powder. Most
commercial spritzers are just baby powder or talcum powder combined with a
fragrance. For the same effect, and for a whole lot cheaper, you can use
traditional baby powder for the same effect. Getting the application just right
can be tricky since the pour is a little heavier, but to resolve just blend at
the roots with fingers, and voilĂ —grease-free hair!

ReplyDeleteI am 52 and look 35 because I use baby oil as under the eye cream every night and my skin has never aged or wrinkled. It keeps it supple and soft and glowing. Also conditions eyes lashes and brows. I have also used the baby powder shampoo technique when m hair is dull or even dirty, I take a tiny tiny dab and massage into my hands then gently pat my top of my hair to add a shine and some body.
ReplyDeleteIt's great you're giving these tips out cause whenever I tell people my secret they don't believe me, they think its some anti-ageing cream or something. Thanks for sharing an experience I can relate to.
I already use coconut oil as moisturizer. Does that mean I should stop ?
ReplyDeleteI use Johnson's lavender baby wash its great on my body. I think that should also be here
ReplyDeleteI have always used baby wipes as a makeup remover cause I'm not paying £20-odd for something oil based from Clinique when a £1.99 of Johnson's baby wipes can get waterproof mascara off and leaves my face smelling like a fresh baby......
