Hello everyone
it’s Wednesday and time for us to announce our winner for this Decembers edition
of Glam Sunday (our last edition of the year 2014). I have to say this edition
of Glam Sunday was indeed special as almost all the contestants stood out, bringing their fashion A game to the table this December.
However, we can only one Glam Sunday winner, so let's get down to business.
Today is the last Sunday of the year. As you all know it’s a pretty
special Sunday everywhere and so it is as well for our last Glam Sunday edition
of the year 2014. The previous month’s Glam Sunday winner’s gift came all the
way from London, and we hope she’s definitely enjoying her gift. I can’t
imagine what the prize would feel like to her, but I know I’m going to take it
personal.
November's Glam Sunday winner & her gift prize.
Now to business, it’s the holidays people and I expect some
super glam pictures from you all so let’s get things rolling with this lovely
picture from a lady I met last month named Susan, I’m sure most of you all can remember
her picture story (here). Susan as I promised here is your picture as our Glam
Sunday cover girl for the month of December.
Hello folks, a happy Christmas
week to you all……
As some of you might know the
2014 Copa Lagos at the Eko Atlantic City ended last week with aplomb. The event
was another major success like the previous ones before it. The last day of the
event also witnessed a Fashion Show with a beach wear theme. The show featured
veteran Nigerian designers like Ituen Basi, Kamokini and Amede, and also
worldwide family brands such as Puma and Lacoste.
Now here are some photos from the
Fashion Show below;
Hello everyone, welcome to another beautiful week…….
Our Style Focus for today is none other than the talented Taylor
Swift. Taylor went from an emerging young star to a superstar sensation in a
matter of years. As famous as she is for her music, she’s also famous for the
diversity of her closet. It’s been said that her signature street style is conservative
and youthful while her red carpet looks are the definition of glamorous.
So why don’t you all take a look at some of her styles and
let us know what you think.
The season for celebration is here again and our calendars are
filled with Christmas house parties, work happy hours, and of course, New
Year’s Eve. It’s a time for cocktail dresses, smoky eyes and red lips. We all
want to look our best, and we usually do when arriving at our destination. But
what about after a few hours of nibbling and sipping champagne, and hitting the
dance floor (shoki style), try taking a picture and you will see that your face
looks like Y! And you’ll be wondering if your face was hit by a truck. Well no
need to wonder anymore pamos-expression is here to the rescue, to show you how
to keep your make up in place, so you can have a holiday party exit just as
grand as your entrance.

We absolutely love the current thigh high slit trend and
the best part is that it can be made into anything a lady wants, depending on
how she wears it. While we have been seeing this trend grazing red carpets all
year, what is so efficient about this look is that it can be implemented into
casual outfits as well. As hemlines are becoming more and more modest these
days, the thigh high slit is a great way to show some sex appeal and still
maintain stylish elegance. A number of celebrities have already been featured
on this blog sporting thigh high slits; here are some reminders of a few of them:

Hello everyone it’s time for us to announce our winner for Novembers
edition of Glam Sunday. I have to say this edition of Glam Sunday was indeed
colourful. I can see you all are bringing the 90's back, well let's get down to
business. First of all I would like to start with the last three pictures which
had pink in them.
Starting with Picture No3, the lady in the pink skirt; she does have
a lot of fans no doubt including me but I am sorry to say that I think the look
just lacks that unique qualification of a Glam Sunday winner that even I myself
don't know till I see it. It would have been quite nice if she paired the
outfit with pointies (which is what we refer to as a pair of pointy shoes) this
would have made her beautiful legs look longer since the skirt is a middy. The
next is Picture No4, which is the lady in the all pink attire. One thing I can
say is that I think she should know that pink is a sharp colour and it's always
best to pair it up with a different colour of shoes. And to the last lady
wearing pink and blue, there really isn’t anything wrong with your outfit, it
just doesn’t have that Glam edge to it.
Now to our first two pictures, the second lady (Picture No2) looks
really sharp and clean and has this don't mess with me look which is pretty
cool, her outfit is well put together and on point. However, our winner which you
might have figured out by now is the first picture was a little bit more daring
than the rest. Not only was she well covered up, I mean because as we all know
nowadays people sew native in a very sexy and western style that sometimes it’s
even hard for you to notice it’s a native attire at first glance, but our
winner over here did the normal traditional (old mama) style and yet she still pulled
it off while also incorporating a statement neck piece not minding the fact
that the colour of her outfit is loud. Also if you zoom into the picture you
would see that she also paired her outfit with lemon green pointies, I know a
lot of people would have worn this with black shoes, instead she took it to
another level. Girl you’re a style Queen in the making I absolutely love your
Glam look. For these reasons you take the day hands down.
So let us know what you all think, and till
next month’s edition of Glam Sunday remain blessed everyone, GBF
always.
Note:
Our winner should send us her details on the Pamos Expression Facebook page
where her photo was tagged and we’ll let you know how you can redeem your
prize. Thank you.
A Happy & Blessed Sunday to you all. Here is another edition
of Glam Sunday and it so happens that the year is fast ending as you all might
have noticed. Well while I was in church today I saw a lady with a very
beautiful skirt on and I couldn’t wait to take a picture of her as I thought to
myself she would definitely make a lovely cover photo for this month’s edition
of Glam Sunday, so I approached her. She was quite shy but was so sweet and
allowed me take picture of her, so thanks a lot to you Susan.
However, unfortunately I won’t be able to use that picture as
the cover photo for today, because afterwards I realised my team and I had already
agreed upon using the picture of last month’s Glam Sunday winner and her gift
prize and I just have to stick with that plan. But then we will surely use Susan’s
picture as the cover photo for next month’s edition of Glam Sunday which is a
pretty special one, because it’s going to be the last Sunday of the year.
So let’s kick start our November edition of Glam Sunday, remember
you can send your pictures to pamosexpression@yahoo.com
or tag your pictures on our Facebook page. And below is the picture of last month’s
wining outfit and the gift prize, hope it inspires.
Octobers Glam Sunday winner wearing her prize shoes.
Hiya folks, so here are some of the responses for our Glam
Sunday November edition, you all remember to keep your pictures coming till the
middle of week…. ENJOY
Hi folks
Today I want to take you back to about 10-15years ago when
some of us were still in primary school or secondary school (high school), where
we most times wore uniforms with a checkered design. Well guess what, the checkered
design is back as a new trend in fashion and it is easy to pair with a black or
white bottom.
I love this look a lot and I think it’s very stylish and so
do celebs like Gwen Stefani and Kelly Osborne among a couple of celebs who are rocking this
look. I hope you all can add this to your wardrobe style.
Hiya folks……
As some of you might know the American Music Awards was held
last night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, USA. As usual before the award
proper kicked off the stars and celebrities glowed on the red carpet. Here are
some pictures of those red carpet moments;
Rita Ora makes a bold statement in her yellow Zack Posen dress.
Hello everyone…..
Yesterday we had a post that had to do with weeding’s and we
all saw some beautiful conventional wedding gowns (see here). Today also we are
keeping to our theme of weddings, but in a different style.
Now this past Sunday Solange Knowels tied the knot with her long-time
lover Alan Ferguson. As most of us might know by now, Solange has an exclusive
and eclectic Afro retro style, and once again she proved that being different isn’t
bad at all. For me she has always been a trend setter, very creative and loves
to take a lot of fashion risks (e.g. this lady wears more Ankara than most of
us do). So when I saw what she wore on her wedding day I wasn’t surprised at
all. Although she shocked the fashion industry and has made multiple headlines
for breaking all the traditional wedding gown rules, yet she nailed her look and
style for the wedding with aplomb.
Top of the morning to you guys. Today we are talking about
wedding dresses; obviously there is wedding fever in the air as I have noticed
more people get married during this period of the year. I’ve just been inspired
by the last wedding I attended over the weekend. The last time we talked about a
wedding dress on this blog, it had to do with a wedding dress inspired by the
character Elsa from Disney’s animated movie Frozen. However today we bring you
back home to our very own Nigerian fashion designer, Mai Atafo.
Now since I started doing research on wedding dresses in
Nigeria, Mai’s bridal collection caught my eyes effortlessly. There is
something about his wedding dresses that just makes you want to get married.
The dresses are not too busy, they are straight to the point and yet flawless.
But please you are free to dispute with me after taking a look at some of his
bridal collections below, as this is just my opinion. For me I think he’s one
of the best around.....
Hi folks, hope you all have been
good. As we all might know Sunday night witnessed the MTV Europe Music
Awards (EMA) in Glasgow, which was hosted by our very own Queen of hip-hop Nicki
Minaj. The award featured some of the very best European and International acts
vying for top honours.
So here are some pictures from
the red carpet and the main event, for you all to enjoy.
Pregnant Alicia Keys performing.
Hi everyone, welcome you all to a new week and Happy New
Month as well. Hope we all have a great November. Well over the weekend the highly
anticipated Lagos Fashion and Design Week was held. The Guaranty Trust Bank
sponsored fashion event was a multiday fashion extravaganza, which brought
together buyers, consumers and the media to view the current collection of
African designers. The event culminated in a wonderful night on the runway where
various designers showcased their wears and beautiful models rocked the catwalk.
Enough talk for now, so let me leave you all with some of the wonderful pictures
from the event to kick-start your week, enjoy a great week ahead……..

Hello everyone it’s time for us to announce our winner for
this October edition of Glam Sunday. Now this edition has been quite special
for two reasons; apart from the fact that there’s going to be a gift prize for
the winner, this edition has also produced the most difficult decision so far, since
all the pictures we got were so on point. Now I don’t know if this was motivated
by the proposed gift prize, but all I can say is that it has made this a
wonderful edition.
Before we get down to announcing the winner I also want to
point out that a sort of theme played out this month, that theme was the colour
Black. Most of the pictures we received had our ladies wearing black attires or a
variation with black in it, well I guess the trend was a black Sunday and no
one told me.
Now to our winner, as I said earlier
it was quite difficult making a decision this time around as the quality of
outfits were top notch, for that I would like to thank all of you who sent in your
pictures for being so glamorous this Sunday. However after much deliberation, I
think our winner of the day had to go to the picture below.
Hello everyone, our beauty tip for today has to do with an important part of the woman’s body, her lips. If you all can remember, our last beauty tips post dealt with the perfect way to apply your lipstick (in this case Red lipstick). Well as we all know some ladies due to the nature of their skin are prone to having cracks on their lips. If you wear lipstick and you tend to see lines and cracks on your lips after applying your lipstick, then this post is for you.
An easy way for you to get rid of those lines and cracks on
your lips would be to simply apply Shea butter on your lips every night before
you go to sleep for a period of time. This application of Shea butter over time
will stop the breakage/cracks on your lips and restore a natural smoothness to
them. Try it and see the amazing results. And that is our beauty tip for today,
on that note wishing you all a lovely week ahead…….
Hello folks, Happy Sunday to everyone one out there. I’d like
to welcome you all to another monthly edition of Glam Sunday, for the month of October. This edition of Glam Sunday happens to be a special
one, and that is because at the end of it all our eventual winner is going to receive
a gift prize (mentioned this earlier from the last edition).
So we will be expecting very lively pictures with your glamorous
responses as usual. I’m sure by now you all know the drill, and if we have some
new followers amongst us today please kindly follow up the post thread on our Glam
Sunday section of the blog to get familiar with how it works. So let’s kick
start with a lovely picture bellow, as I always say, hope it inspires.
Hiya folks, so here are some of the responses for our Glam
Sunday October edition, you all remember to keep your pictures coming till the
middle of week…. ENJOY
It's a new week again and I’m sure most of us had a great weekend;
well I for one did have a wonderful Sunday evening at the Fashion and Art show
held in Port-Harcourt. Well with all the plenty security details I only got in
towards the end of the show so I couldn't really take any valuable picture in
terms of fashion. However, at the end of the show I met up with one of the
organizers and she introduced me to some of the models and I had a little chat
with them, they loved the clothes and couldn't stop talking about the designer
Akpos Okudu and how they loved working with her.
The next person she introduced me to was Olusegun Adejumo, he's an
artist/photographer and he had some of his beautiful Art works presented at the
show. After he showed me some his work I just knew he was a professional, his
pictures were so good, I can't wait for when I can start taking pictures like
that. Well to cut the long story short we arranged on how I would get the
pictures so I could share them with you guys. I would definitely love to work
with him again. So here are some of the pictures he took, hope you love them as
much as I do........
Hi folks, Monday is here again and we’re back into the
midweek hustle and bustle. Well we hope we can make the week feel much better
for you with some fashion…….
Last week Paths to Possibilities hosted their annual ‘Glitz
Glam Give’ charity gala and fashion night in the UK. It was a magnificent night
of fashion, fun and charity. Some of you might ask, what’s Paths to Possibilities?
Well to answer that question; they’re a UK based charity with a commitment to
transforming the lives of disadvantaged young people in Nigeria. As well as
sponsoring Secondary School education for poor but bright students to some of
the best schools in Nigeria, they also campaign to improve the education system.
Hope that’s explains it all.
Hi
folks, so as most of you have been enjoying the Salah break I have been home
dealing with a cold and all the other things that come with it, but I woke up
this morning feeling a little bit better and so I decided to do what I love
doing the most which is talking to you guys.
During these few days I’ve been ill all I wore was my boyfriend’s
boxer and shirt, thus creating the illusion of keeping warm. Then I realized
this has been a trend for some time now (not the wearing of boyfriends underwear
oh). I mean girls wearing guy clothes and making it look stylish.
There
are so many different guy outfits that girls can just rock, but today we are
going to just pick one which is the Boyfriend Jean. The boyfriend jean is
basically a baggy, slouchy and oversized jean, but not too big that two individual
legs can get into one leg space. It gives the impression you’re wearing a man’s
jean but is more structured at the waist for a female body. It also tends to
flatter thicker legs and thighs more. Wearing this gives a more relaxed and
chic vibe that is causal but trendy, trust me you don't have to be a tomboy to
rock this look.

Happy Nigerian Independence Day people, it is Wednesday and
as always that’s the time to announce the winner of our monthly edition of Glam
Sunday. All the pictures that were sent in for this edition were lovely as
usual, but of course we can only have one winner at the end of it all. So let’s
have a recap of the lovely photos that made up this September edition of Glam Sunday:
Picture 1: The lady with the black blouse and stripped skirt,
her outfit was nice and I liked the way the black calmed it all down.
Picture 2: The lady with the blue dress and black undertones with
a head scarf had a very Christian outfit and made it look stylish.
Picture 4: The lady with the purple and blue matched dress
had a very nice colour combination on. The dress also had a way of bringing out
her unique figure without being too provocative.
Picture 5: This picture had a ghost looking theme to it if I
may say. Nice contemporary outfit by our lady in this picture. I think she
could have made it even better by packing her hair.
Now to our winner which by now I’m sure you all have figured
out its picture No 3. Our winners dress is perfectly subtle. You can never go
wrong with white on a Sunday, plus her yellow neck piece just settles in perfectly,
giving it that ultimate touch of radiance. So for that reason I think she takes
the day.
Hiya Folks……… Glam Sunday is back again for another edition
this month. I noticed this would be our first edition to be held on the last Sunday
of the month. Now I actually think this is good because last Sundays of the
month usually involve some sort of church celebration and for that reason
people tend to dress up a lot. So I guess we should be expecting some fabulous outfits
for this edition of Glam Sunday and a great competition ahead.
Well I believe by now you all know the drill, you can send
your pictures to our email at pamosexpression@yahoo.com
or better still you can simply upload your pictures on your Facebook page and then
tag it with Pamos Expression, and we’ll get it immediately on our Pamos
Expression Facebook page. Well lets kick-start Glam Sunday with this lovely
picture below;
Here are some of the responses we’ve gotten for this edition
of Glam Sunday. Check them out BELOW and remember to keep your pictures coming till
the middle of the week.
The “Native and Vogue” International Fashion Week – Port
Harcourt is an assembly of top designers and models across Africa to celebrate
the totality of African Fashion. The Native and Vogue project is a 3 day
fashion week that primarily brings together already established designers from
Nigeria and beyond who will showcase their wares.
The latest edition was held between the 19th and
21st of September 2014 at the Presidential Hotel, Port Harcourt and
featured an array of fashion designers and models……. Have fun taking a look at
the catwalk pictures from the event.

I’m sure most of us ladies while we were much younger had
been mesmerized by some of Disney’s classic movies and themes, and have
probably dreamt of having that happy ending Cinderella or Snow White moment in
our lives. Now ever wondered what your wedding dress would look like if Disney met
up with fashion designers to bring most of our dreams to reality?
Well you don’t have to wonder any longer as Disney gets
into fashion and collaborates with wedding and bridesmaid gown designer Alfred
Angelo to bring Elsa’s famous Snow Queen Dress in the Disney blockbuster “Frozen”
from the big screen to reality. The designer of the dress was inspired by the
melodious (and infectious) tune “Let It Go,” from the movie. He also noted that
some of the dress’s elements draw on the moment when Anna’s sister was
transformed and finally began to embrace her icy powers. “We wanted to
translate Elsa’s inner beauty and individuality into a sophisticated gown that
exudes this,” he said.
A sketch of the Wedding Dress.
Hello everyone. Haven’t we all
noticed that this season has been packed full of events here and there which
have continually given our celebrities the ample opportunity to showcase their
fashion sense and style? Last Tuesday wasn’t an exception either; the Fashion
Rocks Concert gave some of our favourite celebrities a chance to play dress up
all over again. We sure loved it and the colour black couldn’t have been sexier
as these ladies flaunt it with their curves, tight abs and glowing skin tone…….
Now this is how the red carpet should be. Below are some of the lovely pictures
Hiya folks…….. Monday is here again, so I’ve decided to show
you all something that might ease your stressful day and put a little smile on
your face. Earlier last week was the Nigerian Entertainment Awards, and I noticed
some interesting outfits from the event, so I’ve decided to share that with you
guys today. Continue reading to see all the pictures…….
Hello folks, hope you all are having a lovely weekend so far……….
Well I’m sure most of you have noticed that over the past few weeks we have
witnessed a couple of celebrity weddings that have caught the public’s
interest, in this case I’m referring to Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade tying their
nuptials, and also Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally saying “I Do”. This has
also coincided with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West deciding to release never before
seen pictures from their wedding earlier this year. Looks like wedding fever is
in the atmosphere right now, and you know when it comes to weddings fashion is
never far behind.
So why don’t you all take a look at the three brides we’ve
talked about and their wedding dresses, which I’m sure, will get most of you
talking.
Hi folks so it’s time to announce the winner of this month’s edition
of Glam Sunday. Figuring out the winner for this edition was quite easy, but
before I get to that let’s talk about the other outfits;
Picture No2: The outfit was simple and nice, nothing really
spectacular, but most of all it was not churchy at all. Not something everyone
would expect to wear on a Sunday.
Picture No3: A very lovely skirt in my opinion, but I don’t think
the blouse matched it at all, both did not fit together for me.
Picture No4: This was a very nice, simple and lovely Sunday
outfit.
Picture No5: Good outfit and colours were nice, but the shoes
sort of brought it down for me. The shoes did not go with the dress at all.
Now to our winner which by now you must have figured out its
Picture No1. Not only is her outfit glamorous enough for a Sunday it is also
churchy, thus taking nothing out from the purpose of the day.
Note: I know it’s quite
cool to filter and edit your pictures sometimes, adds an edge to it, but for
the purpose of Glam Sunday it can be a bit distracting. This is because the
editing alters the colour of the outfit, which makes it difficult to make
proper judgments at the end of the day. So let’s all try and keep the editing
and filtering to a minimum if you’re planning on sending pictures in for Glam
Sunday. Thank you all.
Hiya Folks……… Glam Sunday is back again for another edition
this month, HAPPY SUNDAY. So I hope everyone is ready with their amazing
pictures for today, sure by now you all know the drill and if you’re still new
to Glam Sunday you can follow up on previous posts from the Glam Sunday section
of the blog.
Also there is a new method we want to try out; instead of
sending your pictures to our email, those of you on Facebook can simply upload
your pictures on your Facebook page and then tag it with Pamos Expression, and
we’ll get it immediately on our Pamos Expression Facebook page, easier isn’t
it. Well without further ado lets kick start Glam Sunday with this lovely
picture, hope it inspires.
A
considerable amount of people might not know what LBD stands for, but it’s
something that every lady should know the full meaning of, even some guys
too....... Today we are going to focus on the Little Black Dress aka (LBD).
This may sound like a very old topic, but as you know the LBD never ever gets
old and there’s a timeless saying that every lady must own a Little Black Dress,
however a true Fashionista should have at least 5 LBD’s which can be used for
different events and occasions....
Here
are some examples of 5 trendy LBD’s that you should own, they are stylish and
have been worn by some of the most sexy, classy and edgy female celebrities. As
you can see from the pictures below one of the sexiest women in the world,
Haile Berry is rocking a sequined cut out LBD (warning, if you don’t have that
type of body, no try am oh, lol), you can just go with the sequine. My girl RIRI
is rocking a fitted T-shirt LBD which I love so much. Same accolades can be
said for Beyoncé, Ashanti and Jourdan.
