STATEMENT SHOES TO LOOK OUT FOR IN 2015

Hello everyone, hope you’re all having a lovely week. Today is all about shoes.
Now I believe we're all for sticking with what works right? But, chances are the heels that took you to every party in 2014, or the pointies you wore for bits of last year, are starting to feel a little well worn out. If so this is the guide for you.

We’re calling out the statement shoes for 2015. Now this doesn’t mean your heels or pointies are out of fashion, far from that, heels and pointies will always remain an important piece of every ladies wardrobe. Whereas our statement shoes are those exclusive trends that pop up every now and then, that enables us to be different form the normal. Thus we have decided to compile for you a list of foretold statement shoes for 2015 that would most definitely suite your interests.

1.     Chunky Heels

Chunky heels are proving to be the next unfailing formula of success and femininity, and this year will prove no exception. A lot of designers and fashion houses have taken up the chunky heels trend and this is demonstrated with such looks as Prada’s wooden chunky heeled clogs, Versace’s ultra-glamorous translucent heels with shimmery brownish details and Vera Wang’s chunky Oxfords to name a few.

2.     Multi-Strap Shoes/Return of the Gladiator Sandals

Gladiator motives also seem to be coming back around all the time especially when it comes to having a statement look. Thus they are present this time as well, however, in a much diverse style such as feminine and chic wedge heels with knee high strap ties, multi-strap cage sandals encompassing the combo of different shades, gladiator sandals with the zip-up details and so on.

3.     Diversified Sporty Shoes

Sporty vibes are not missing from the repertoire of the basic 2015 statement shoe trends either, and the principle of diversification and renovation also touched them. This time colours are the main recurrence, accompanied with the various design details and interpretations and coming with both monochrome and multi-colored solutions for a totally new and fresh looks.

4.     Animal/ Reptile Skin Shoes

Animal and reptile skin patterns are also here, forming one of the most powerful statement shoe trends for the New Year, for making an elegant fashion statement. Major inspirations for this year are gotten from examples like Nina Ricci’s leopard printed high-heeled sandals, Roberto Cavalli’s snakeskin-inspired orange textures of platform flats and Ralph Lauren’s crocodile skin classic pumps.

5.     T-Strap Shoes

T-straps are probably the logical continuation of the multi-strap and ankle-strap shoe trends, this time representing another classy and quite sumptuous range of designs, again coming with the irreplaceable touch of renovated glam. The best examples for inspiration may be found among pointy toe T-straps with very many colour variations, the multiplied looks from Fendi accompanied with double ankle straps and the colourful and classic T-strap shoes as well.

6.     Thong Sandals

To quote Stylebistro; “This year’s Thong sandals are a synthesis of styles and vibes reaching the highest limits of imagination and maybe even beyond, resulting in the creation of a real masterpiece, especially in terms of combining essential details and styles together”. This is the case with the early year thong sandal combos of flip-flop heels, featuring the elements of both the shapes and nicely combining them in one look. Thong sandals are one of the best examples for that brand new shoe trend.

  2. Low gladiators like the pair in the middle of the picture are really cute. I don’t really like the knee-high versions. Animal prints are definitely one for me, thong sandals as well
