The runways during the Milan Fashion Week and the just concluded Paris Fashion Week were surprisingly full of hair accessories in all shapes and sizes, whether it was leather headbands, geometric clips, retro leather ponytail holders etc. the range of hair accessories were numerous. Judging from this trend it seems the hair accessory fad is here to stay and not going anywhere this year.

The 2015 African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards was held last night at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre in Lagos.

One of the highlights of the night was Ini Edo being spotted in a similar outfit design that Lupita Nyongo had on at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. Isn't it funny that Ini decided to wear a Lupita inspired dress a whole year after the original was worn. I mean common, we expected more from her, and if she's even going to copy a Hollywood celebrity, she should have at least copied something in season and not a year old outfit. 

You all can decide who wore it better........

I have to say Annie's  dress is quite unflattering, and I honestly don't know whats going on with the headband thingy, plus is that a massive blush mark on the side of her face? I just hope its the camera

This past Milan fashion week featured some contemporary styled showings on the runway. One of these was the unconventional wedding gown designs that braced the runway. Whether they were flashy or minimalist, it highlighted some high fashion dresses that could easily sub in as a wedding gown. As you all may have noticed recently some celebrities have chosen to go with the non-traditional wedding dress styles and most have worked out quite well (sure we all remember Solange!).

Today’s post as the title suggests is all about birthdays, well one birthday in particular, and that’s the birthday of my lovely cousin Faith. For some of you who have been with us from the beginning, you might remember her for being featured in our very first post on the blog.

Now from the pictures that will follow you will notice the uniqueness of her day of celebration, which was the Free Spirited theme of the occasion. This wasn’t an open celebration, but one that was restricted to a few close friends and in a serene location. As noted earlier the concept of the celebration was centred on the free spirited theme of playfulness, relaxation, joy and of course happiness to top up a very Happy Birthday. The outfits worn by the celebrant and her friends were also inspired by the theme of the day.

The celebrants dress most especially gave her a playful, pretty and cute aura, thus allowing her to embrace the joyful occasion to its fullest, which really was a breath of fresh air from the all too busy, tight-fitting and restricting outfits that are all too popular for most birthday evenings.
