Our style focus for today is none other than our one and only Tiwa Savage. She is one of Africa’s leading female acts in the music industry. Multi-talented and versatile in her skills, she is a singer and songwriter, and MAVIN Records first lady and brand ambassador. Tiwa Savage is a lady of good taste, and turns heads on and off the red carpet with her impeccable style. A self-confessed lover of good shoes and of course designer dresses, the energetic performer has some looks we won't forget in a hurry.

So let’s focus on her style and some of her looks in this edition of Style Focus:

Hello everyone it’s Wednesday and time for us to announce our winner for this year’s first edition of Glam Sunday. As usually this edition of Glam Sunday was quite competitive with really great outfits on show. However, we can only one Glam Sunday winner, so let's get down to business.

Lipstick is most beautiful when we wear it. Everyday millions of women apply lipstick without a second thought. What many don't know is that lipstick may contain lead, the notorious metal that can cause learning, language and behavioral problems and even cancer. Lead is a neurotoxin and can be dangerous even at small doses though not all lipstick contain lead and no lipstick company lists lead as its ingredient, but the presence of lead in lipstick which is ingested and absorbed through the skin raises concern about safety of a cosmetic product that is widely popular among women.

Today is the first Glam Sunday edition of the New Year and I hope it turns out to be a really special one to kick-start Glam Sunday for the year 2015. The last edition for last year turned out some really lovely outfits; let’s see if we can even better that this time around.

So below is our cover picture to start off the first edition of Glam Sunday 2015, hope it inspires. (Remember to send your pictures to pamosexpression@yahoo.com or tag your pictures on our Facebook page).

Hiya folks, so here are some of the responses for our Glam Sunday January 2015 edition, you all remember to keep your pictures coming till the middle of week…. ENJOY

Hello everyone, hope you’re all having a wonderful start to the weekend.

So this past Thursday evening Daily Front Row hosted the first-ever Fashion Los Angeles Awards (which the publication has playfully dubbed the FLAs), honouring a number of designers and other style influencers for their contributions to Hollywood fashion.

There was a more casual feel to the red carpet as opposed to other major red carpet events. Here are some of the looks from the evening. Let us know your thoughts at the end.

On style focus today we’re going to be taking a look at American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, and fashion designer Pharrell Williams.

Pharrell is what you call simply fly, and I’m sure most of you would agree. He began as a behind the scenes producer dishing out some of the hottest beats and went on to being a hip-hop/rock sensation in his own right. Like fine wine, with time Pharrell has managed to age into one of the coolest most unique stars we all know and love. Just like his music, his style has also gracefully developed to be one of the best in the world. He's been idolized and adorned by all the top style powerhouses including recently by Gentleman's Quaterly (GQ).

Pharrell's style can’t be taken for granted; it’s always fresh and unique. It’s widely accepted that he’s an active originator of certain trending looks that every guy tries to rock these days. And since he's an originator, I think it is only right we pay attention to how he dresses.

Hello everyone, hope you’re all having a lovely week. Today is all about shoes.
Now I believe we're all for sticking with what works right? But, chances are the heels that took you to every party in 2014, or the pointies you wore for bits of last year, are starting to feel a little well worn out. If so this is the guide for you.

We’re calling out the statement shoes for 2015. Now this doesn’t mean your heels or pointies are out of fashion, far from that, heels and pointies will always remain an important piece of every ladies wardrobe. Whereas our statement shoes are those exclusive trends that pop up every now and then, that enables us to be different form the normal. Thus we have decided to compile for you a list of foretold statement shoes for 2015 that would most definitely suite your interests.

1.     Chunky Heels

Chunky heels are proving to be the next unfailing formula of success and femininity, and this year will prove no exception. A lot of designers and fashion houses have taken up the chunky heels trend and this is demonstrated with such looks as Prada’s wooden chunky heeled clogs, Versace’s ultra-glamorous translucent heels with shimmery brownish details and Vera Wang’s chunky Oxfords to name a few.

We can’t start the New Year without mentioning some of the Nigerian fashion designers we believe will set the pace in 2015.

The fact remains that the story of the fast-growing fashion industry in Nigeria is not complete without the contributions of these designers who are continually winning the respect and admiration of fashion enthusiasts and stakeholders at home and abroad.

Here are some designers we predict will take 2015 by storm.

Deola Sagoe

There is no denying the fact that Madam Deola is one of the highly talented fashion designers who churn out amazing styles all year round. The creative director of Deola, popularly referred to as the designer to the rich and famous, stepped on to the then very young fashion industry in Nigeria 25 years ago with pieces that instantly caught on with women because they were created to be visually stunning, distinctive with painstaking attention to detail. Her custom made designs for her clients and models are each one made to fit the wearer’s personality and body type. She is known for her limited and unique designs and creating fashion items of timeless style attitude.

Hello to you all. Hope you guys are having a wonderful week.

Now I guess we’ve all seen pictures from the Golden Globe Awards. As we all know in every good story there is a bad side and so also it is with fashion. For every red carpet event there is a category for the worst dressed. So for you guys that have been asking for a Fashion Police segment, now we’re giving it to you.

Enjoy…..

Hmmm, a lot of adjectives come to mind like; Terrible, Shapeless, Rubbish. I could go on but let’s just leave it there.

This year fashion analysts and enthusiasts alike are predicting a move towards the cooler and softer side of the colour spectrum for fashion. An eclectic mix of understated bright, pale, and natural-like neutral colours are being foretold to take centre stage this year. If the early year runway and red carpet trends are anything to go by, it seems they’re right. I’m hoping we can also be a part of this colour trend, so for that reason I’ve compiled a list of colour shades that are predicted to be the theme of this cooler and softer year.

1.       SAGE GREEN
Generally not thought as a fashion colour in the past, though it does come back in vogue from time to time, Sage Green is a soothing green shade whose time has come again. Sage Green is a tropical green that could best be described as nature’s neutral. It’s a classic yellow-green that could be used with anything and everything. Sage Green has a minty glow that is light in tone and blends seamlessly into any natural beauty.

The 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards which honours the best in film and American television was held last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills, California. It was a night of glamour, and it’s no surprise most of the celebrities were at their best for the red carpet. So here are some of the best pictures from the awards, hope you enjoy.

Hello everyone, a huge T.G.I.F to you guys. Sure everyone is doing great. Now to my ladies out there I hope you all know we can’t have a 2015 fashion trend prediction for ladies without having one for the men as well. That would be a bit selfish of us don’t you think. We also want our men to look good just like we do right.

Sometimes I know the notion of trends in men’s fashion might seem curiously redundant, but that’s because although men’s fashion is quite simple and straightforward, however it’s also technical, with some huge attention to detail. Let’s not shy away from the technical bit and take a look at men’s fashion in a whole different light for today. So without wasting time let’s take a look at some of the predicted men’s fashion trends for 2015.

1.      PRINTS
Prints are everywhere in men’s fashion we agree, but this year the gist is on designs that are a little bit more creative. From block-colour swirls over suiting, to rich intricate mosaic tile prints, this year there would be barely any male attire that won’t come adorned.

Today’s style focus is none other than Nigerian movie star and celebrity Genevieve Nnaji. Over the years she has risen from a young actress to one of the biggest stars in Africa and a fashion icon in her own right. Last year she launched her very own fashion line St. Genevieve to the applause of the fashion industry.

We have seen her grace different red carpets with her unique fashion style, so now it’s time for us to take a focused look at her style.

So here are some of the biggest predicted trends picked up from New Year’s fashion shows around the world. Hope you enjoy

1.      THE SHIRT DRESS:
In an anything-but-tame turn, designers are re-imagining this classic shape with drop waists, double high slits, and more. It's like a Choose Your Own Adventure book, but for your closet this year.

We at Pamo’s Expressions are saying a huge HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! to you all as we hope 2015 is going to be another splendid year for Fashion.
