Some might ask if there is a tried and tested formula out there to become one of the hottest music stars on the planet, well, if there was I’d definitely say the The Weeknd has nailed it. Yup I said “The Weeknd”, not Weekend but The Weeknd, the one man band man as I like to call him.

The Canadian singer born Abel Tesfaye, but now commonly known by his stage name The Weeknd in my opinion has finally transcended that barrier into one of the hottest music stars on the planet. I say in my opinion, because yours might differ. But that aside, we have to agree The Weeknd has finally nailed the winning formula.
While his alternative style of R & B has been hot stuff in the music industry for a while now, The Weeknd has now expanded his reach into the fashion realm. Add that to dating super model Gigi Hadid, I dare say he has definitely arrived.

British clothing outlet H & M recently announced that it was ending its brand relationship with the iconic David Beckham. Guess who his replacement would be? Well you guessed right if you said The Weeknd. He will not only star in H & M collections but will also collaborate with H & M to create his own pieces, with his brand XO (also the name of his record label) and ohh not to forget his collaboration with Puma, PumaXO will also hit stores soon. Add that to a slated December performance in the Victoria Secret show in Paris, we can surely talk about making it rain.

Some of you might ask so why all the fashion related attention all of a sudden, well first of all it is undeniable his style is quite different and refreshing. It hasn’t taken long for other brands to realise this and make the most of the poster boy look.

If experience is anything to go by The Weeknd is definitely set to make some noise on the world scene (like he hasn’t already right?). It’s definitely time to get ready for The Weeknd. TGIF FOLKS…….

When the word baking soda comes to mind you think of baking right but there is more to this sodium bicarbonate powder than you think. First of all did you know baking soda, contains anti-bacteria, antiseptic, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory properties which makes it a multipurpose substance in fact this should be your go to beauty product, and the amazing thing is that most of us have it in our kitchen cupboard doing nothing. Well let me tell you how to put that to use.

1.     Teeth Brightener
Baking soda is great for removing yellow stains from your teeth, with its anti-bacterial properties it neutralizes acids caused by bacteria. Simply add a little amount of baking soda on your tooth brush alongside your regular tooth paste, brush your teeth as normal. I advise you to do this once a day for a few days and you will see the difference in no time.

2.     Improves Uneven Skin Tone
This a major problem most of us have, uneven skin, but not to worry baking soda helps balance PH levels which is very important if you want an even and clear skin. Simply use a warm towel on the affected area to open the pores then apply your mixture, which contains 1 or 2 teaspoon of baking soda with warm water let it rest for one minute and rinse off with cold water to close pores .Do this once or twice a week and be sure to moisturize immediately after and go rock that tan top you’ve been avoiding

3.     Treat Acne and Pimples
Simply add one or two teaspoons of baking soda with warm water and apply it on the affected are, repeat this once daily for two to three days and then reduce it to once a week. Do not forget to open and close your pores by using warm water before and cold water after wards this goes for any skin care treatment. You don’t want to leave your pores open and pick up infections.

In conclusion you don’t need strong skin care products to get rid of your skin problems and then end up doing more damage by rumpling your skin and aging faster, remember the skin is delicate and you would want to treat it as such. Watch out for my next post on baking soda tips is going to be more interesting.

NOTE: Baking soda is more effective when used for a short period of time and also do a patch test to know if your skin is sensitive to it.
