REPOST: SHOES!!!

[For our second repost in as many months; this is Saturday we would like to indulge you with a post on SHOES we did earlier last year. Trust me after reading this you might all want to go back to your shoe rack and check what’s in there, because if there is one thing that always needs reinventing in your fashion collection, then it’s definitely your shoes. So ENJOY]:

Hi guys, hope you’ve all been fashionably good and fine. Anyway, the topic for today is going to be all about SHOES! .........

Now talking from experience I know that no matter the problems a girl might be having, whenever she hears of a new shoe her face definitely lights up, that is because shoes are the most important detail of an outfit, it makes a simple or ordinary outfit look fabulous (try it as you’re reading this, take off your shoes and look in the mirror, then you’ll see the difference). Ok now back to the matter at hand, there are some key elements of shoes you should always know about, they’re as follows.....

Getting Quality Shoes
The truth is some of us tend to buy low quality shoes thinking we are saving money but you’re not because that shoe won't last and you will need to buy another one sooner than you think. Meanwhile if you buy a good quality shoe it would last for years that is if you no wear am everyday oh. But seriously you will definitely get a return on your money when you buy good quality shoes, cause like most of us will say “I don wear the money for the shoe finish”.....

Shoe Maintenance
Most people do not know how to maintain their shoes including me, but I had to learn and now I can share it with you guys. If you like buy the most expensive shoe in the world if you do not take good care of it you will lose the value of your shoe and trust me things like that hurt. I used to put my shoes in the boot of my car so that I will always have them with me anywhere I go. However as time passed they started deteriorating so fast nobody had to tell me before I took them out. After reading an article on how to bring an almost dead shoe back to life and maintain shoes in general I followed these steps;

1). Keep your shoes in an airy place. And if you must keep them in a closed wardrobe, ensure there is an air conditioner in the room because leather and heat do not go together.
2). Make sure you clean your shoes after wearing them.
3). Do not place or heap your shoes on one another. This damages shoes easily.
4). Never wear a wet shoe, trust me, you won’t find the smell funny at all.
5). Always "air" your shoes once you notice they are wet, water and shoes are not the best of friends at all.

How To Match Shoes With An Outfit
This is the most important part because you can get a quality shoe, maintain it very well and still let it waste by wearing it wrongly or looking at it hang in your wardrobe every day not knowing what to wear it with. Trust me, shoes are meant to be rocked, THE RIGHT WAY most especially. Here are some tips in doing that; Try not to always wear black shoes for most of your outfits, that is you playing it too safe and eventually your dressing becomes boring. Another problem is that I see a lot of us wearing the same colour of dress with the same colour of shoes that is also a no no for me, try and keep the colours fresh and different, but always make sure the colours compliment one another. If you’re short like me (or not too tall) and u want to have that long leg feel you should try wearing pencil mouth heels, they always do the trick.

I could go on and on and on, but I’m aware some of us may get bored by reading too much. Before I leave, I’ma leave you with this little advice, as a true Fashionister you should own at least half a dozen shoesssss at any time. If you don't, well its time you shine your eyes oh…… So till next time, stay blessed and always remember its GBF all the way………
