Natural hair has always been
identified with the deep life bible church (no offense) but today it's trending
and everyone wants to go natural I included well am already on it.
While it's just a trend for some for
me it's a journey. The issue many people have with growing their natural hair
is that it is too painful when you have to comb, it's too hard and it looks
unkempt. The good news is that there are now remedies for all that you can now
have a healthier, softer and longer hair without the use of relaxers.
HOW TO GO
NATURAL
1: To do The Big Chop: Cut i.e.
cutting off all your hair and start afresh with low cut or
2: Transition: Where you decide to
stop using hair relaxers and start taking care of your natural hair, trimming
off the relaxed part later on when u feel your natural hair is long enough (undergrowth). It doesn’t matter if you are
transitioning or you did the big chop, you need to get a hair care routine for
your hair which is:
a). Cleansing (washing your hair)
b). Conditioning
c). Deep conditioning
d). Moisture and seal
e). Styling
3. Cleanse: Use shampoo that is sulphate
free, because sulphate is very drying and it causes breakage also bear in mind
that u don't need to use a shampoo for every wash, you can use a conditioner to
wash weekly or twice month( your choice) and use shampoo once a month.
4. Conditioning: This is normal
conditioning you do after shampooing your hair, everyone is familiar.
5. Deep Conditioning: This is a
very important step for every natural hair. If your hair is strong and hard to
manage, then you need to do this often. You can make one at home by blending
banana, avocado, extra virgin olive oil and apply to your hair, cover your
hair with a shower cap allow to stay for 20 to 30 mins before washing off.
6. Moisturize and Seal: This is also
very important, for natural hair. This would prevent, breakage, dryness,
hardness of your hair. Get a moisturizer or leave in conditioner and apply this
on your hair that is moisturizing.
