We all go the extra length when we have that special event to prepare for, looking perfect or at least trying to, is key.

Weirdly, nature chooses that time to wreak havoc on our skin.

So how do you cheat nature?

If something has to go wrong, it should have nothing to do with your skin.

Last night was The 2015 BET Awards, which means, naturally, that there were some eye-popping moments on the red carpet.

              The Stars took to the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live to celebrate the biggest and brightest in black music, television and film—and yep, they looked good. Note that it's the ceremony's 15-year anniversary, so you can bet there were some surprises on deck.

Now we all know Ankara is a very popular, patterned, coloured fabric that can been worn in different ways, either as traditional attire, as dresses, skirts, shorts, tops etc. Well lately and quite fabulously we’re seeing a trend of Ankara pinups or more properly known as Dungarees.

Dungarees are garments consisting of trousers with a bib held up by straps over the shoulders (hence the pinup) usually made of usually denim, or a similar material and worn as casual or working clothes.

Ankara Dungarees are made the same but the colours, prints and patterns take it to another level!

So I started watching Tinsel from the very first day it started and I had my favourite characters one of them is getting married today and it so happens that I have a blog years after and this is my way of support this beautiful couple whom I have watched over the years they are so loved that the who and who of Lagos is in Benin.

Well I guess if you live in Benin or happen to be around you will be seeing a lot of stars. That aside I want to say a big congratulations to Osas Ighodaro and Gbenro Ajibade on their union today. The wedding so far has been filled with colour and glamour, with several of our very own celebrities present. The aso ebi theme of the day was blue, and trust our Naija peeps to pull of something special.

Ever since moving into the Whitehouse some 7 years ago, the fashion focus on Michelle Obama’s wardrobe has not diminished. With her many style attributes, Michelle has propelled her fashion and style to the limelight. 

One of the most and if not the most fashionable first lady around today, her signature style has earned her praise on the fashion scene for years now. She has been credited on mainstream for bringing some glamour back to the Whitehouse that hadn’t been seen since the time of Jackie Kennedy.

DFL a Womenswear label presented their new collection, named Colours of Africa, over the week, featuring a vibrant mix of colour, print and texture.

The designs are a mixture of Ankara prints and pop on essentially simple and classic silhouettes for an eclectic but chic feel. They included lace trim, sequins, mesh and beading, with the label’s Ankara print bags for another layer of texture.

Remember we brought you an Ankara themed collection by Paris based designer Natacha Baco a few weeks back. Well this just shows Ankara designs are always here to stay and never going anywhere.
